Sustainable Development

The literal meaning of sustainability is “endurance” or “stability.” However, its relevance in contemporary contexts—especially in relation to environmental, industrial, economic, and managerial approaches—is far deeper and more complex. One of the essential skills for modern individuals is the ability to think long-term and to have a vision that extends far beyond the scope of their own lifespan. A person or organization with this forward-thinking mindset can identify potential issues before they arise and take steps to prevent them.It is important to recognize that such problems should not be confined merely to internal, personal, or organizational matters. Instead, they must encompass broader human concerns that affect both current and future generations. Among these issues, environmental challenges hold a particularly critical position.Environmental concerns and the planning required to preserve nature for future generations demand a new way of thinking—one based on the understanding that the Earth does not belong solely to us. We are its caretakers, and as such, we bear a responsibility to maintain it. Therefore, our strategic goals must always consider the sustainability of the ecosystem and our duty to protect it for the benefit of our children. Thus, sustainability refers to a form of long-term stability with special focus on environmental preservation. In line with its role in promoting the sustainable growth of the PVC industry, Chimiaran has, since 2010, dedicated a significant portion of its focus to the design, production, and supply of eco-friendly products—specifically organic calcium/zinc-based stabilizers for hygienic applications. Through these efforts, Chimiaran aims to fulfill its environmental responsibilities effectively. It is worth noting that these environmentally conscious products, with their wide range of applications and high quality, are fully competitive with similar foreign products in both domestic and international markets.Additionally, to raise awareness among Iranian PVC consumers, Chimiaran has launched a campaign titled Greener PVC.”

Other Additives
Processing Aids:
These products are based on acrylic copolymers and are designed to enhance the melt strength of PVC, improve fusion quality, and create a smooth, glossy surface. Processing aids are especially important in the extrusion of profiles, sheets, and pipes, playing a vital role in reducing processing time and increasing production efficiency and output.
Impact Modifiers:
Offered in CPE and acrylic-based forms, these additives enhance the impact resistance of rigid PVC products. They are particularly important in applications such as window profiles, siding, and panels, where mechanical strength—especially under outdoor weather conditions—is essential.
Stearic Acid:
Stearic acid is a fatty acid used as a lubricant in PVC. It facilitates the manufacturing process by preventing material from sticking to machinery during production. It also aids in the uniform dispersion of components within the compound. Stearic acid is used in both rigid and flexible PVC formulations.
Pigments:
Pigments provide consistent and durable color to PVC products. Their resistance to heat and UV radiation makes them ideal for outdoor applications such as cable insulation, siding, and more. chimiaran offers PVC-compatible pigment systems tailored for optimal performance.

Polyethylene Waxes:Polyethylene waxes (PE waxes) are synthetic waxes derived from polyethylene and primarily function as external lubricants in PVC formulations. They help reduce material build-up in molds, enhance surface gloss, and improve production efficiency and output.PE waxes also aid in pigment dispersion and improve material flow. These additives are essential in the production of rigid PVC products such as profiles, foamed sheets, pipes, and injection-molded parts, as well as in soft PVC applications like cable coatings, films, and more.chimiaran offers a wide range of polyethylene waxes with varying oil contents and a diverse range of viscosities, tailored for use in various PVC industries and other applications, including masterbatch production, polymer compounding, adhesives, candles, and more. These products are available in granule, flake, and powder forms.

Metal Soaps: Metal soaps are metallic salts of fatty acids, such as calcium and zinc, widely used in PVC formulations. These multifunctional additives act as internal lubricants, acid scavengers, and auxiliary stabilizers. They help reduce friction during processing, enhance thermal stability, and improve the dispersion of PVC compound components.Metal soaps are essential for producing smooth, defect-free surfaces and are commonly used in the manufacturing of pipes, sheets, profiles, cables, and packaging films. At chimiaran, we supply metal soaps in powder form to ensure compatibility with automatic dosing systems and consistent production performance.

Thermal Stabilizers:Thermal stabilizers are essential additives used in the production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) products to prevent thermal degradation during both manufacturing processes and end-use applications. At chimiaran, we offer a range of high-performance thermal stabilizers based on lead, calcium-zinc, and mixed metal systems. These stabilizers are designed to preserve color stability, prevent darkening of the final product, and ensure long-term durability in a variety of PVC applications.Typical end products include pipes, window profiles, cables, flooring, medical equipment, and more. Our thermal stabilizers are available in powder, flake, and dust-free granule forms to ensure easy handling and optimal dispersion in both rigid and flexible PVC processing.
