History of chimiaran

For many years following the production of PVC by Abadan Petrochemical Company, the thermal stabilizers required for this material were consistently imported from abroad. Recognizing this ongoing dependency and leveraging his extensive experience in the PVC industry, the founder of our company identified the need to localize this technology. the manager invested in acquiring the technical know-how required to produce these stabilizers domestically. As a result, chimiaran was established  with the aim of eliminating the country’s reliance on imported PVC stabilizers and becoming a leading manufacturer of various additives for the plastics industry. Thanks to the relentless efforts of skilled and dedicated local specialists, the company succeeded in producing products that were previously only available through import.Driven by a strong belief in research and development, high-quality manufacturing, and teamwork, chimiaran achieved a major milestone  by exporting its first shipment. Since then, the company has secured a prominent position in markets across the Middle East, Near East, the CIS , Africa, and Europe.
Our product portfolio includes a wide range of polymer additives such as PVC stabilizers and various plastic, rubber, and resin lubricants. These products serve the diverse needs of polymer-related industries, including the production of pipes and fittings, corrugated and drainage pipes for agriculture, door and window profiles, films and sheets, wires and cables, sanitary goods, hoses, floorings, shoe soles and boots, artificial leather, and both matte and transparent granules, among other polymer-based products

vision and mission

Chimiaran Company, a leading manufacturer of various polymer additives, was established in 1994 (1373 in the Iranian calendar), founded on the principles of customer orientation and a firm commitment to product quality. With a mission to produce and supply high-quality, innovative, eco-friendly polymer additives that align with modern technology and evolving customer needs, chimiaran plays a vital role in the country’s economic development and the promotion of Iran’s position in the global market. In pursuit of these goals, the company has adopted the international ISO 9001:2015 standard and is committed to fulfilling stakeholder requirements and continuously improving the effectiveness of its processes.

Chimiaran’s Managers

His efforts to develop and promote Vinoplastic did not prevent him from being active in Thermoplast, where he served as CEO from 1988 to 1998. With extensive experience in the PVC industry, he clearly recognized the country’s need for domestically-produced thermal stabilizers specifically for PVC. Thus, in 1994, he invested in acquiring technical knowledge for these products. Instead of purchasing technical expertise and formulations from foreign companies or obtaining licensing agreements—which would lead to dependency on them—he relied on Iranian specialists, alongside his own dedication and perseverance, to initiate the experimental production of his company’s first products. After several years of relentless effort, official production commenced in 1996, and Chimiaran Company was founded. His prominent role in the PVC industry led him to serve as chairman of the board and one of the founding members of the PVC Pipe and Fittings Manufacturers Association from 2004 to 2007. Additionally, from 2007 to 2010, he served as a member of the board and treasurer of this association. Furthermore, his continuous engagement with Iranian graduates and talented individuals, as well as his focus on customer needs and demands, contributed significantly to his managerial success. Consequently, he has received various awards in this field, such as the “Outstanding Manager in PVC Additives Production” from the Association of Homogeneous Plastic Industries and the “Outstanding Manager in National Production” from Plastic Industries Magazine.

MOHAMMAD TAGHI GHIASI

Founder of Chimiaran Company

Mohammad Taghi Ghiasi was born in Abadeh, a city in Fars Province, Iran. He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown and, immediately after finishing his university studies, entered the polymer industry. His strong perseverance, work commitment, and rapid acquisition of technical knowledge and experience led to his swift advancement, culminating in his appointment as the manager of the Thermoplast factory in Tabriz. Alongside his numerous activities and responsibilities, he did not neglect his academic studies and graduated in Electronics Engineering from the University of Tabriz. While working at the Thermoplast factory, he founded his first company, Vinoplastic. This company became the first manufacturer of large-diameter rigid PVC pipes in Iran and remains the only producer of millimeter-sized pipes in the Middle East.

Other Additives
Processing Aids:
These products are based on acrylic copolymers and are designed to enhance the melt strength of PVC, improve fusion quality, and create a smooth, glossy surface. Processing aids are especially important in the extrusion of profiles, sheets, and pipes, playing a vital role in reducing processing time and increasing production efficiency and output.
Impact Modifiers:
Offered in CPE and acrylic-based forms, these additives enhance the impact resistance of rigid PVC products. They are particularly important in applications such as window profiles, siding, and panels, where mechanical strength—especially under outdoor weather conditions—is essential.
Stearic Acid:
Stearic acid is a fatty acid used as a lubricant in PVC. It facilitates the manufacturing process by preventing material from sticking to machinery during production. It also aids in the uniform dispersion of components within the compound. Stearic acid is used in both rigid and flexible PVC formulations.
Pigments:
Pigments provide consistent and durable color to PVC products. Their resistance to heat and UV radiation makes them ideal for outdoor applications such as cable insulation, siding, and more. chimiaran offers PVC-compatible pigment systems tailored for optimal performance.

Polyethylene Waxes:Polyethylene waxes (PE waxes) are synthetic waxes derived from polyethylene and primarily function as external lubricants in PVC formulations. They help reduce material build-up in molds, enhance surface gloss, and improve production efficiency and output.PE waxes also aid in pigment dispersion and improve material flow. These additives are essential in the production of rigid PVC products such as profiles, foamed sheets, pipes, and injection-molded parts, as well as in soft PVC applications like cable coatings, films, and more.chimiaran offers a wide range of polyethylene waxes with varying oil contents and a diverse range of viscosities, tailored for use in various PVC industries and other applications, including masterbatch production, polymer compounding, adhesives, candles, and more. These products are available in granule, flake, and powder forms.

Metal Soaps: Metal soaps are metallic salts of fatty acids, such as calcium and zinc, widely used in PVC formulations. These multifunctional additives act as internal lubricants, acid scavengers, and auxiliary stabilizers. They help reduce friction during processing, enhance thermal stability, and improve the dispersion of PVC compound components.Metal soaps are essential for producing smooth, defect-free surfaces and are commonly used in the manufacturing of pipes, sheets, profiles, cables, and packaging films. At chimiaran, we supply metal soaps in powder form to ensure compatibility with automatic dosing systems and consistent production performance.

Thermal Stabilizers:Thermal stabilizers are essential additives used in the production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) products to prevent thermal degradation during both manufacturing processes and end-use applications. At chimiaran, we offer a range of high-performance thermal stabilizers based on lead, calcium-zinc, and mixed metal systems. These stabilizers are designed to preserve color stability, prevent darkening of the final product, and ensure long-term durability in a variety of PVC applications.Typical end products include pipes, window profiles, cables, flooring, medical equipment, and more. Our thermal stabilizers are available in powder, flake, and dust-free granule forms to ensure easy handling and optimal dispersion in both rigid and flexible PVC processing.
